    Loved this painting. Want to copy it. Hope I can do it justice. What is gum terps. Soon as I know that I shall start!!!! Is it oil medium?

    Pure gum turpentine, sometimes called distilled gum turpentine (turps) is a solvent, like mineral spirits or paint thinner, made from pine trees. It has a strong pine smell.
